Super Simple Flowers
I think people shy away from making art because they are afraid. Afraid of failure. Afraid of judgement. Afraid of their lack of skill. Afraid of the time commitment. Afraid of the materials list. Afraid of wasting money.
Let me put your mind at ease. I am here to tell you that anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can do this project. Even little kids can do it. (Mom Idea! Have each kid make one!)
Why do I think that? Here’s why:
There’s no drawing.
Shaky hands are celebrated! In fact, the shakier, the better!
The supplies are simple. (paint, paper, Sharpies.)
It takes a small amount of time. (20 minutes, tops!)
And the pi`ece de re’sistance?
It’s cheap.
How did I come up with the idea?
I was inspired by something I saw on Wayfair (an online home store) so I began experimenting with paper and materials. Then the floodgates opened! I couldn’t stop making them. They were so simple. So fun! So quick! I knew I needed to share with the world so others could feel that art high!
Now, I have a ton of flower art to adorn my home! And you can too.
I think these would be beautiful in a triptych [said, trip-tick]. That’s just a frilly art way of saying a group of three. Oh, yes, a triptych totally works:
Still not convinced you should try it? Here’s some motivation to get you started:
“You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.” – Stephen King
Or in other words, be brave enough to suck at something new.
“When you’re scared but you still do it anyway, that’s BRAVE.” -Neil Gaiman
In other words, be scared and do it anyway. Here’s another one:
